Stunning addition to Changi Airport
Singapore’s Changi Airport, already voted the world’s best airport by Skytrax for six years in a row, is about to get even better.
A new development, called Jewel, is set to open in the first half of this year with a hotel and more than 280 shops and eateries in a glass and steel dome.
The dome also includes four storeys of lush greenery (one of Singapore’s largest indoor collections of plants), mazes, a 250-metre long bouncing net and the world’s tallest indoor waterfall at 40-metres high.
Jewel has been designed by world-renowned architect, Moshe Safdie (the same architect who designed Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands).
