On June 28 in Pasay City, Hikari launched a new product called Vibra Bites with flying colors -- pun intended. Keita Harada of Hikari International talked about the new feed’s carefully-selected ingredients and nutrients meant to bring out the brilliant color of fish. “We are always serious [about] the quality,” said Harada.

The unique worm shape of Vibra Bites allows it to move with the current the same way live food does, enticing fish to ingest it. Regular use of this feed improves the color of fish in 20 to 30 days. “I was surprised with the results . . . [the color of fish] really developed a lot,” said Abet Verches, owner of Animal Pet Shop and Koihub. “My farm has been using Hikari for quite some time and we’re very happy with this product because the koi that we’re growing have vibrant colors, [including] my tortoise and turtles,” added Jimi Lim, owner of Congo Charlie and Koi Village Pet Mall. Entitled Bites, Beats, and Booze, the launch lived up to its name, with drinks and an all-you-caneat buffet made available to all guests.
