WORLD RABIES DAY
Creating a safer place for animals and humans
The Alpha chapter of the Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity (VKVF) and the mother chapter of Venerable Lady Veterinarians Sorority (VLVS), both from the De La Salle Araneta University, observed World Rabies Day with a free anti-rabies vaccination program at Barangay Catmon, Malabon.
The student organizations wanted to spread awareness about rabies and provide better access to pet vaccines.
“We wanted people to learn that [rabies] can be prevented and [we wanted them to] take care of their pets . . . by having them checked and vaccinated [regularly],” said Nadia Rivera of VLVS.
