With the diverse selection of reptiles showcased at the event, it was no surprise that the Japanese reptile market has been producing prepared food for reptiles. Some of the reasons they want to stay away from live ones include convenience, sanitation, cost, storage, and the added vitamins and minerals.

Hikari showcased their reptile food range, which includes Futoago Dry, a type of pellet food for bearded dragons, and gel food for juvenile bearded dragons, leopard geckos, and crested geckos. The company had plans of introducing these options to the Philippines this year.
