BILLION-DOLLAR INDUSTRY

-

The industry is a great source of revenue for the country. Business Mirror correspondent Oliver Samson once reported that the game fowl industry stands at around P50 billion and is expected to grow more in the coming years.

Not only does the sport contribute to a huge part in the country’s revenues, but it also provides a stable livelihood for hundreds of people.

As the game fowl industry rises in the country, Samson noted that the number of breeders also continuously increases over the years, which creates new opportunities for Filipino families to earn money.

The growing competition also results in a higher quality of products and services, which is why the World Gamefowl Expo introduced 100 additional exhibitors during the event.

“It is our goal to provide game fowl breeders with direct access to their target markets,” said Romero. “We [were] able to introduce new players to game fowl enthusiasts from all walks of life and offer a wide array of products and services under one roof. You can call it a one-stop shop for the industry.”

For three days, visitors from all parts of the world enjoyed the expo. Some even met their favorite breeders, who offered important lessons when it comes to breeding techniques.

This year’s event exceeded all the others and ended on a high note.

“What was memorable for me was the joy, satisfaction, and success the expo was able to bring its visitors and exhibitors,” said Romero.
