FILM FOCUS: THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2

- By MAXINE LOUISE LAGMAN

Have you ever thought about what your animal companions do throughout the day when you’re not home? Do they really just lie around and snack all day? Or do they go on little adventures with fellow animals in your neighborhood?

The Secret Life of Pets answers these questions and more! First introduced in 2016, its sequel, The Secret Life of Pets 2, was released this year. It focused on the life of animal companions when left at home by their human companions.

Animal enthusiast groups wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring this hilarious movie to an animalloving audience – Paws and Tails Event Concepts and Management was no exception. They organized two block screenings at Circuit Makati

and Alabang Town Center.

Families enjoyed the movie together with their animal companions as they followed the crazy misadventures of a gang of adorable pets from New York: Max, a terrier mix voiced by Patton Oswalt; Duke, a fellow rescue mutt voiced by Eric Stonestreet; Snowball the rabbit as voiced by Kevin Hart; Gidget, the Pomeranian voiced by Jenny Slate; and the adorable Chloe the cat voiced by Lake Bell. Guests also had the opportunity to meet Lester Zapanta, a former recruit of “Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan for Asia’s Next Pack Leader, and learn the basics of dog obedience.

Paw-some doggos who wore costumes also stole the show as they pranced around the theater in their best outfits.

Everyone was treated to an all-day pass to an obstacle park and ball pit. Photo stations were made available to guests to capture their memories with their furry families, as well as a pet bazaar to cater to every pet parent’s needs.

The two-day event was made possible by sponsors, namely Saint Roche, Nutram, Petto Ai, Meowtech, Nexgard Spectra, Ezydog, Barf.ph, Ganador Philippines, Cat Care, and Charco’s, among others.
