Baluktot na pananaw ng komunista, binira ng Palasyo

Binira ng Malacañang ang baluktot na pananaw ng Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) sa mga aksiyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Ito ay matapos himukin ng CPP ang NPA na palakasin ang pangangalap ng mga bagong “Red Fighters” at binansagan ang pamumuno ng Pangulo na “US-Duterte Regime” at direktang kalaban ng mamamayang Pilipino.

Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, sa press briefing sa Palasyo kahapon ng umaga, na naging bukas at matulungin si Duterte sa mga rebelde.

“Basically I think they have [a] distorted perception of what the President is doing. The President has been very open. He has actually engaged them,” ani Abella, na ang tinutukoy ay ang pagtatalaga ng makakaliwang miyembro ng Gabinete kabilang sina Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo at Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano.

“From where the President is coming from, he’s actually bent over backwards in trying to accommodate them,” dugtong niya.

Sinabi rin ni Abella na napakaraming pagkakataon na ang ibinigay ng Pangulo sa mga komunista ngunit walang nakuhang tugon.

“As [to] his [Duterte’s] reactions lately, apparently, he doesn’t perceive that there is a common response--that there is a commensurate response,” patuloy ni Abella.

Gayunman, sinabi ng Malacañang na hanggang ngayon ay wala pang inilalabas ang gobyerno na Notice of Termination para pormal na wakasan ang peace talks sa mga komunista.

“Wala po. Officially there’s none,” ani Abella.

Sa press conference matapos ang kanyang State of the Nation Address (SONA) nitong Lunes, sinabi ni Duterte na wala na siyang balak na ituloy pa ang usapang pangkapayapaan sa CPPNPA-NDF.

“Up to this point, we go by with what the President has said,” ani Abella.

Isinantabi naman ni Abella ang hamon ni CPP founder Joma Sison na ilabas ng Malacañang ang medical records ni Duterte.

“Up to this stage we don’t know what the response is but as far as I can see there’s really no need to do that,” aniya.

Sinabi rin ni Abella na may tiwala pa rin ang Pangulo sa tatlong makakaliwang miyembro ng Gabinete – sina Taguiwalo, Mariano, at National Anti-Poverty Commission chair Liza Maza.

“Magkaiba naman ‘yung NPA tsaka ‘tong mga Cabinet members. They are not members of the NPA as far as we can see…Ang mahalaga is they are doing their job in their agencies and their departments,” ani Abella.
