GMA exec, piniling juror sa International Emmys
NAGING bahagi ang First Vice President for Program Management ng GMA Network na si Jose Mari R. Abacan ng esteemed panel of jurors ng 45th International Emmy Awards nitong nakaraang Nobyembre 20 sa Hilton Hotel sa New York City.
Dahil sa kanyang kaalaman at pagiging bisaha sa TV programming, pinili si Abacan ng Academy’s Committee upang kumilatis ng mahuhusay na television programs mula sa iba’t ibang bansa sa mundo.
Ngayong taon, nagsilbi siya bilang isa sa jurors na sumuri sa entries para sa Semi-Final Round of Judging ng TV Movie/Mini-series category.
Dati nang naging bahagi si Abacan bilang juror sa Final Round of Judging para sa comedy category noong 2013 at 2011; at para sa TV Movie/Mini Series category noong 2010 at 2007.
“It is a great honor to be given another opportunity to participate in screening high quality programs from different countries alongside other respected executives from the international television industry. Also, being a juror does not only give me pride to represent GMA Network but it has also been a learning experience for me to further broaden my perspectives in TV programming,” aniya.
Ang International Emmy Awards, na kinikilala bilang Oscars ng TV industry, ay isang annual event na binubuo ng The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Ang membership nito ay binubuo ng mga organization ng leading media at entertainment figures mula sa mahigit 60 bansa at 500 kumpanya mula sa iba’t ibang sektor ng telebisyon kabilang ang Internet, mobile at technology.
