3k scholarship slot para sa mga miyembro ng Moro Islamic at Moro National Liberation Front

NAGLAAN ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) ng 3,000 scholarship slots para sa mga miyembro ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).

“This is the first time we have allotted scholarship slots for them,” pahayag ni TESDA Deputy Director General Alvin Feliciano sa isang panayam nitong Martes.

Sinabi ni Feliciano na layunin ng hakbang na makatulong sa pagpapaangat ng buhay ng mga miyembro ng MILF at MNLF sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay sa kanila ng libreng pagsasanay.

“We want them to get jobs or livelihood, and also to make them active participants of various government programs,” saad ng direktor.

Ang mga tatanggap ng scholarship ay maaaring mamili sa mga kursong agriculture, automotive, construction, tourism, metals at engineering, heating, ventilation, airconditioning and refrigeration, semiconductor, electronics, furniture and fixtures, garment and textile, health, at social services. Tatagal ang pagsasanay sa mga kurso sa loob ng 40 araw, ayon sa TESDA. Binabalak ng ahensiya na unahin ang mga miyembro ng MILF at MNLF mula sa Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi, at Zamboanga na bibigyan din ng pondo para sa kanilang pagsasanay.

Ang kailangan na lamang nilang gawin ay magtungo sa opisina ng TESDA at magpalista.

Samantala, nagbibigay din ng libreng pagsasanay ang TESDA sa mga sumuko na rebelde.

“We have offered the same program to the members of the CPP-NPA (Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army),” ani Feliciano.
