Mel B, papasok sa rehab
IBINUNYAG ni Mel B na nakapagdesisyon na siyang pumasok sa rehab sa susunod na buwan para matulungan siyang malagpasan ang kanyang adiksiyon sa alcohol at sex, ayon sa Entertainment Tonight.
“I have made the decision to go into a proper therapy [program] in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I am very, very British and I know that will work best for me,” pahayag niya sa The Sun nitong Linggo.
Ipinaliwanag din niya na dumating siya sa puntong ito dahil sa pakikipagdiborsiyo niya kay Stephen Belafonte.
“The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me,” sabi niya sa pahayagan. “I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life.
“Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel,” dagdag pa niya. “But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol-- it is underneath all that. I am fully aware I have been at a crisis point. No one knows myself better than I do -- but I am dealing with it.”
Kalaunan ay ibinahagi na rin niya kung bakit siya nagdesisyong isapubliko ang adiksiyon.
“I am still struggling but if I can shine a light on the issue of pain, PTSD and the things men and women do to mask it, I will do,” ani Mel B. “I am speaking about this because this is a huge issue for so many people.”
Ang mga detalyeng ito nabunyag kasabay halos ng pagseshare ni Mel B ng isang website, kung saan mababasa ang tungkol sa PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder). “Knowledge is power,” caption niya kasama ang link.

tungkol sa pinagdaraanan ng anak.
“I’m so proud of my daughter. She has the courage to face her demons head on and deal with them,” tweet ni Andrea . “I know what hell she has been through and I know what trauma she has suffered and still suffers. Do not judge because so many people have PTSD and try and numb the pain any way they can. I am proud of her honesty and I am proud my daughter speaks out on a subject that affects so many people.”

Una rito, naisapinal ang pakikipagdiborsiyo niya kay Stephen sa pagtatapos ng 2017, nagsampa ang dating Spice Girls member ng temporary restraining order laban dito, dahil umano sa pisikal at seksuwal na pangaabuso, na aniya, ay nagsimula pa noong nagpakasal sila noong 2007. Itinanggi naman ni Stephen ang mga alegasyon.
“I desperately wanted to leave the relationship and tried to do so during our first year of marriage and every year thereafter,” sabi ni Mel sa court papers. “When I threatened to leave, [he] informed me he has videos of our sex life and other private moments. [He] would threaten that if I left, he would release the videos to the tabloids. I have lived the past decade in fear that [he] would release intimate videos of me that would embarrass me and damage my reputation and my career.”
