Vargas: Amir Khan, kayang patulugin ni Pacquiao!

NANINIWALA ang muntik magpatulog kay dating WBA at IBF super lightweight champion Amir Khan na si Colombian Samuel Vargas na kayang patulugin ni WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao ng Pilipinas ang mayabang na Briton.

Natakot si Khan nang mapabagsak sa 2nd round ni Vargas sa kanilang laban noong Linggo sa Birmingham sa London, England bago nakuntento sa pagwawagi sa 12-round unanimous decision.

Matapos ang laban, kaagad hinamon ni Khan si Pacquiao pero malaki ang paniniwala ni Vargas na mapatutulog ng Pinoy boxer ang Briton.

“I think Pacquiao’s power is just too much. You, I think, Pacquiao stops him,” sabi ni Vargas sa Boxingscene.com.

Nanood din sa laban si Kell Brook na hinamon din si Pacquiao kung natatakot si Khan na labanan ang Pinoy boxer.

“I’ve come here to stir things up,” sabi ni Brook hinggil kay Khan. “We’re both with the same team. Let’s have a Christmas special - December, me and Khan. I’m only after [the Khan] fight… Or Pacquiao. I’ve been with Matchroom the longest - there’s no way he’s getting that fight over me. I’ll go 147lbs [welterweight] and fight Pacquiao. Why should Amir get the fight? I’ve been with Matchroom forever.”

“If he doesn’t want to take the fight [against me] because he’s scared, or whatever, I’ll fight Pacquiao,” dagdag ni Brook. “Not him - me. People need to stop asking me the question: ‘When’s [Khan v Brook] going to happen?’ Ask him. I’d love to get inside [the ring and ask]. I’ll put him on his backside if we meet.”
