Angel Locsin sa patuloy na pagtatanggol sa kanya sa mga bashers na minamaliit ang kakayahan niyang gampanan ang papel bilang bagong Darna.

Nitong mga nakaraang buwan, Angel reprimanded netizens who said derogatory remarks about Liza when she was picked to replace her in the upcoming Darna movie.

“I’m blessed to have her defend me from bashers,” sinabi ni Liza sa panayam sa kanya ng PEP.ph.

“It’s rare to find people in the industry who genuinely care for each other. She’s one of the reasons why I want to do so well because I want

to make her proud.

“Ate Angel has always been so supportive of me. I expressed to her how nervous I was about the role and how I feel like I’m not capable of living up to the expectations. She told me that she knows I can do it, and that she always believed that I could be the next Darna.”

The ABS-CBN actress also reacted to those doubting her ability to play the Pinay superheroine.

“I don’t really get offended when people say I’m the least athletic Darna ‘cause I know it’s not true. Mahinhin po siguro, but I used to be very athletic when I was younger and I know that when I put my mind to something I make it happen.”
