HK trip ng Davao solon, tuloy

Pinayagan ng Sandiganbayan na makabiyahe patungong Hong Kong si Davao del Norte Rep. Antonio Floirendo, Jr. para sa kanyang medical check up at negosyo ng pamilya nito.

Sa ruling ng 6th Division ng anti-graft court, pinayagan nito si Floirendo na makapunta ng HK mula Setyembre 26-29.

Sa kanyang mosyon, sinabi ng kongresista na layunin din ng biyahe para makapahinga ito dahil na rin sa busy schedule nito sa nakalipas na mga buwan.

"He needs this time for physical well-being and wellness. Accused makes this motion in good faith and for a valid reason. In fact, the records of this case will show that the accused has promptly complied with all the conditions set by this Honorable Court in connection with his previous travels abroad which were allowed by this Honorable Court," ang bahagi ng mosyon nito na isinumite ng kanyang abugado sa korte.

Si Floirendo ay kinasuhan ng paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (Republic Act 3019) dahil sa pagpasok sa isang joint venture agreement sa pagitan ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) at Tagum Agricultural Development Company (TADECO) na pag-aari ng pamilya nito sa panahon ng panunungkulan nito, noong 2003.
