95 spam pages sa PH, binura ng FB

Kinumpirma ng Facebook ang pagtanggal nito sa 95 page at 39 na account sa Pilipinas, dahil sa “violation of spam and authenticity policies”—at kabilang sa mga ito ang ilang Facebook page na pabor kay Pangulong Duterte.

“As part of our ongoing efforts to protect our services from abuse, we have removed a network of 95 pages and 39 accounts on Facebook in the Philippines for violating our spam and authenticity policies by encouraging people to visit low-quality websites that contain little substantive content and are full of disruptive ads,” inihayag ng Facebook nitong Martes.

Sinabi ng social media giant, na ang mga page na tinanggal “[were] sharing links to the same advertising click farms off Facebook.”

Binabantayan din umano ng American-based company ang mga pang-aabuso sa Facebook, kasama ang mga “spam behavior,” at nanindigan na tatanggalin ang anumang account o page na lumalabag sa mga patakaran ng pinakamalaking social networking site sa mundo.

Kabilang sa mga page na tinanggal ng Facebook ang Duterte Media, Duterte sa Pagbabago BUKAS, DDS, Duterte Phenomenon, DU30 Trending News, Hot Babes, News Media Trends, Bossing Vic, Pilipinas Daily News, Like and Win, at Manang Imee, Karlo ang Probinsiyano.

Isa sa mga tinanggal na page ay may 4.8 milyong followers, ayon sa Facebook.

“We don’t want this kind of behavior on Facebook — and we’re investing heavily in both people and technology to keep bad content off our services,” sinabi ng kumpanya.

Pinagbasehan umano ng Facebook ang mga ulat mula sa mga users nito at ang teknolohiya, tulad ng mga machine learning at artificial intelligence “to detect bad behavior and take action more quickly.”

“This take down is a small step in the right direction, and we will continue working to find and remove more bad content,” giit ng Facebook.
