Chua, inangkin ang 4-peat sa Prima bowl tilt

NAKAMIT ni Kenneth Chua ang ikaapat na sunod na male bowler of the year title sa ginanap na Team Prima Annual Awards Night kamakailan sa V Corporate Centre sa Makati City.

Nanguna ang 27-anyos miyembro ng National Team sa parangal matapos pagwagihan ang 16th DATBI-CSI NBT Invitational Open sa Dagupan, Pangasinan at ang Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF) PAGCOR Philippine International Open nitong Mayo.

Nasungkit din niya ang 2018 MBA Open Masters nitong Hulyo at ang 1st PBF National Matchplay Championships. Ang paghahari sa nasabing torneo ay sapat na para mapabulib ang mga opisyal ng Prima, sa pangunguna ni Chairman Alexander Lim.

“Winning the Prima bowler of the year for the fourth consecutive time feels special. Hard work and persistence have helped me to bring home the 2018 Prima bowler of the year,” pahayag ni Chua. “I would thank the Lord for giving me strength to help me achieve my goals for 2018.”

Nakamit naman ni Alexis Sy, ang ‘Female bowler of the year’ title matapos magwagi sa 2018 Bowling World Cup National Championship nitong Oktubre at magkwalipika sa 54th International Finals sa Las Vegas, Nevada kasama si Merwin Tan nitong Nobyembre.

Kabilang din si Sy sa women’s team na sumabak sa 2018 Asian Games nitong Agosto.

Sa badminton class, nakamit nina Nephtali Pineda at Andre Abalos ang men and women of the year award, habang sina Zeth Quiambao at Ghiselle Bautista ang naghari sa junior male and female awards, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Ang iba pang awardees ay sina Clarence Tiu at Vivian Padawan (Bowler of the Year Cebu Male and Female), Art Barrientos, Dale Lazo (Junior Bowler of the Year Male and Female), Nicco Agujo at Pauline Sta. Ana (Most Improved Bowler of the Year Male and Female).

Sa iba pang sports, napili ang beteranong si Eboy Farr bilang ‘Cyclist of the Year’, habang si Cha Pagdilao ang ‘Photographer of the Year’ at si triathlete Wacky Baniqued ang tinanghal na ‘Multisport Athlete of the Year’.
