Digong, ‘di nagso-solicit

Hindi humihingi o tumatanggap ng pondo si Pangulong Duterte para sa sinusuportahan nitong 12 senatorial candidate.

Ito ang paglilinaw kahapon ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo matapos na iendorso ng political party ng pangulo na PDP-Laban ang opisyal na lineup nito para sa pagkasenador.

Wala aniyang pinapahintulutan ang Pangulo na tumanggap o mag-solicit ng campaign funds para sa naturang mga kandidato.

“It has come to the attention of the Office of the President that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s name has been used or dropped to solicit or accept campaign funds, contributions or materials in favor of the senatorial candidates he has personally endorsed,” ani Panelo.

“For everyone’s information and guidance, the President has not authorized anyone in either the private or public sector, including government agencies like the Bureau of Customs, to resort to such illegal undertakings,” aniya pa. Nagbabala rin si Panelo sa publiko kaugnay ng nasabing panlilinlang at sinabing wala sa personalidad ni Duterte na gumawa ng naturang hakbang.

“The people by now should know that such a practice goes against the very principle which this Administration protects and advocates. The general public is therefore forewarned and violators given a stern warning to cease and desist from these unlawful activities,” sabi ni Panelo.

Nanawagan din siya sa publiko isumbong agad sa mga awtoridad ang sinumang gumagawa nito upang mapanagot sila sa batas.
