Bela, pinaboran kaysa kay Nadine
Si Bela Padilla na ang pumalit kay Nadine Lustre bilang si Adult Ayesha sa Pinoy adaptation ng Korean novela na Miracle in Cell No. 7, isa sa unang apat na pelikulang napili para sa upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) sa December.
Narito ang mensahe ni Mr. Vincent del Rosario, President and COO ng Viva Communications sa MMFF Executive Committee tungkol sa balasahan ng cast:
“We write in reference to the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, ‘Miracles in Cell No. 7’ of Viva Communications. Inc. We would like to inform you that due to circumstances that we cannot control, we are constrained to replace Ms. Nadine Lustre with Ms. Bela Padilla in playing the role of Adult Yesha for the film. Ms. Lustre has begged off the project due to persistent medical concerns and her resulting inability to perform her duties as an actress during the shoot up to the promotion of the film.
“Ms. Padilla has been a consistent box office success the past few years. Her films ‘100 Tula Para kay Stell’a (Php 130M), ‘Day after Valentines’ (Php90M) and ‘Meet Me at St. Gallen’ (Php90M) have all had outstanding theatrical runs grossing over at total 300 M. We note Ms. Padilla and Ms. Lustre were paired with the same leading man (Carlo Aquino) however, Bela’s ‘Meet Me in St. Gallen’ fared better than Nadine’s ‘Ulan’ (Php 30M).
“Also the screen time of Adult Yesha is short relative to the main characters led by Aga Muhlach. Adult Yesha’s role is only schedule for 4 days of principal photography compared to Aga’s 18 days. “We believe that Ms. Bela Padilla is an excellent actress and a bankable star and she will significantly contribute to the film’s artistry and commercial success.”
Ang deadline ng submission ng finished film para sa MMFF ay sa September 20.
