Marcelito, tumanggap ng standing ovation sa ‘AGT’

HINDI naubusan ng palakpakan at hiyawan para sa Marcelito Pomoy nang ipinakita nito ang kanyang singing prowess sa hit reality competition na America’s Got Talent: The Champion Edition.

Sa episode na lumabas noong Enero 13, pinahanga ng 35-anyos mula Surigao del Sur ang mga audience at judges sa kanyang rendition ng The Prayer, with his ability to duet with himself.

“That was so unique, you are a beautiful, wonderful singer with a young woman trap inside of you,”komento ni judge Howie Mandel.

Pinuri naman ni judge Alesha Dixon ang kanyang performance dahil sa uniqueness. “I want to see something different, something unique and Marcelito you just gave it to us. It is absolutely brilliant.”

Para naman kay Heidi Klum: “Honestly, this is one of the craziest things I ever heard in my entire life. Your voice, your range and your sound is just so out of this world.”

Perfect 10 naman ang ibinigay ng English TV personality na si Simon Cowell — na kilala sa pagiging hurado.

“That was what I call a 10, a simple as that. I have a feeling that the super fans will put you through the next round,” pahayag ni Simon.

Kakailanganin makakuha ni Marcelito ng sapat na boto mula sa “super fans” upang makapasok sa next round.

Si Marcelito ay champion ng second season ng Pilipinas Got Talent noong 2011.

Bago ang kanyang performance, kasamang tumapak ni Marcelito ang kanyang asawa na naging emosyonal sa pagkukuwento ng kanilang buhay.

Sa interview video, ibinahagi ni Marcelito ang kanyang pagiging ulila at paninirahan sa kalye sa edad na 7.

“(After I won the competition), my life change overnight,” aniya. “From living in the streets, now I’m famous. The whole country is talking about me.”

“Now that I’m here at biggest stage in the whole world, I feel nervous. I want to show the world that I’m the winner.”
