Task force para ‘zero hunger’ binuo ni Digong
Isang 15-member government task force ang binuo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para magbalangkas ng “national food policy” para mabura ang gutom sa bansa.
Sa Executive Order No. 101, itinalaga ang Cabinet Secretary para pamunuan ang Inter-Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger na mamamahala sa magkakatuwang na pagsisikap para labanan ang gutom, matamo ang food security, at mapabuti ang nutrisyon.
“Involuntary hunger, food security, undernutrition and child wasting, stunting and mortality continue to be serious concerns in the country,” mababasa sa kautusan.
“There is a need to carefully coordinate, rationalize, monitor and assess the efforts of concerned government agencies and instrumentalities to ensure a whole-of-government approach to eradicating hunger and achieving food security,” dagdag dito.
Itinalaga naman ang mga kalihim ng Agriculture at Social Welfare and Development bilang vice chairpersons ng bagong task force. Ang mga miyembro ay kinabibilangan ng mga kalihim ng agrarian reform, budget, education, environment, health, labor, interior and local government, trade, science and technology, communications, National Economic and Development Authority director general at Commission on Higher Education.
“The task force shall ensure the government policies, initiatives and projects shall be coordinated, responsive and effective,” nakasaad sa kautusan.
Kailangang magbalangkas ng grupo ng National Food Policy na maglalatag ng mga prayoridad “based on a comprehensive understanding on the problem of hunger and related issues, and provide a roadmap for achieving zero hunger.”
Ang kautusan na nilagdaan ng Pangulo noong Eneero 10, ay kaagad na magkakabisa.
