Drug rehab center sa Nueva Vizcaya, gagamiting quarantine site

Binabalak ng Interagency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases na gamitin ang drug rehabilitation center sa Fort Magsaysay sa Nueva Ecija bilang quarantine site ng mga Pilipinong nakatakdang umuwi mula Wuhan, China, ayon kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

Ang hakbang na ito ang isa sa naging mga rekomendasyon sa idinaos na pagpupulong ng task force.

Ayon sa kalihim, na ang iminungkahing pasilidad sa Fort Magsaysay “provided an expeditious joint inspection by a composite team led by the DOH (Department of Health), AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines), and PNP (Philippine National Police) is conducted.”

Plano ng pamahalaan na i-repatriate na ang mga Pilipino sa Wuhan, China— ang epicenter ng 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD).

Una nang sinabi ni Foreign Affairs

Undersecretary Brigido Dulay, na handang makipagtulungan ang Chinese government para sa pagpapauwi ng mga Pilipino sa Wuhan.

“They have assured us that they are ready to address all of the concerns that any Fililpino may have in that area. Including the need to repatriate if they wish to come home,” ayon kay Dulay.

“The [Hubei] province itself is under travel restrictions, essentially the City of Wuhan is in lockdown as of this moment. Everything that we do in that particular zone-- we have to coordinate with Chinese authorities,” dagdag pa nito.

Ang mga Pilipinong uuwi mula sa Wuhan ay sasailalim umano sa mandatory quarantine sa loob 14 na araw pagkauwi sa bansa, ayon sa health department.

Mayroon umanong 40 hanggang 50 Pilipino na kasalukuyang nasa Wuhan, China ang “have initially signified their desire to be brought back to the Philippines.”
