GINIBA ni Asian Para Games champion Fide Master Sander Severino si Sherwin Tiu sa seventhat final round para makopo ang Open division, habang namayagpag ang kanyang coach na si Internatio­nal Arbiter at Fide trainer James Infiesto para sa dobleng tagumpay ng Para Games team sa 3rd Chooks-to-Go National Rapid Chess Championsh­ip kamakailan sa Ayala Malls Manila Bay sa Paranaque City.

Bumida naman si Eric Labog Jr. ng University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD) Las Pinas City sa unior class, habang nakaungos si Far Eastern University-FERN College , Diliman, Quezon City bet Oscar Joseph Cantela kay Lemmuel Jay Adena sa tiebreak sa kiddies plum ng naturang torneo.

Ang 34-anyos na si Severino ay tumapos ng 6.5 points tungo sa kampeonato sa Open section ng Fide rapid event.

Nalagay naman si Tiu sa pagsalo sa 2nd hanggang 4th kasama sina 13-time Philippine Open champion Grandmaste­r Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr. at 2018 Olympiad qualifier Fide Master Mari Joseph Turqueza na may 6 points.

Nagpakitan­g gilas din si Oscar Joseph Cantela sa pagkopo ng kids’ division sa iskor na 36.5 tie break points sa FEU team mates na si Lemmuel Jay Adena na may 33.5 habang si Labog Jr. ang nanguna sa juniors’ class via perfect 7 points para lagpasan sina Leonel Escote at Lorenzo Cantela na may tig 6.5 points.

Makikita sa larawang ito si Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. president Ronald Daniel Ricaforte Mascariñas, reigning Singapore National Age group Under 12 kiddies runner-up Ivan Travis Cu ng Xavier School and at National Chess Federation of the Philippine­s chairman/president Rep.
