Racasa, nakatuon sa UP-APO chess tourney

MATAPOS magkampeon sa 2020 National Age Group Chess Championsh­ips - Visayas Leg (Under 14 Girls) na ginanap sa SM Seaside Cebu City nitong Enero 5, nakatutok ang atensyon ni country’s youngest Woman Fide Master Antonella Berthe “Tonelle” Murillo Racasa sa pagsulong ng University of the Philippine­sAlpha Phi Omega-Patinikan Invitation­al Chess Tournament sa Pebrero 24 sa UP Diliman Campus sa Quezon City.

“I hope to do well in this event,” pahayag ng 12-anyos na si Racasa, Grade 6 pupil ng VCIS - Home School Global.

Magugunita na nagreyna si Racasa, kakatawan sa bansa sa World Youth Rapid at Blitz Chess Championsh­ip sa Abril 12-16 sa Heraklion, Creta, Greece, sa 19th ASEAN Internatio­nal Age Group Chess Championsh­ip nitong Hunyo sa Davao City.

Nakamit niya ang gold medal sa standard competitio­n kasabay ng pagkopo ng coveted WFM title sa kanyang effort para maging country’s youngest WFM sa ead na 11.
