IPINAKILALA na nitong Biyernes, kasabay ng Valentine’s Day, ang 52 official candidates para sa Miss Universe Philippines 2020, sa ginanap na red carpet press presentation sa Maynila Ballroom ng Manila Hotel .

Ang winner ng Miss Universe Philippines 2020 ang magiging kinatawan ng bansa para 2020 Miss Universe beauty contest ngayong taon.

Ayon kay Shamcey SupsupLee, national director, Miss Universe Philippines, nakaangkla sa tatlong pamantayan ang patimpalak: beautiful transformation, beyond the coastlines, at inspiring women with action.

Ang “Beautiful transformations” ay ang journey ng bawat kandidata para sa pagkamit ng best version nila, sa pamamagitan ng training facilitated by some of the best in the pageant industry.

Ang “Beyond the coastlines” ay ang pagsasanay naman sa standout stunners na manatiling mapagkumbaba at tumanaw ng utang na loob.

Habang ang “Inspiring women” ay susukat, magsasanay, at susuporta sa mga napiling adbokasiya ng mga kandidata, lalo na para sa “sustainable and replicable in other places.”

Makakatanggap naman ng prizes “fit for a queen” ang magwawaging Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

“For starters, the runners up get major cash prizes and guaranteed income. For the winner, aside from giving an incredible platform to her advocacies, she will have her own apartment, car, driver, personal assistant, and personal stylist. She will also get the biggest cash prize in the history of Philippine pageantry. Simply put, it is going to be a life fit for a queen,” pagbabahagi ni Lee.
