Dutch model waging Manhunt International 2020

ANG model mula The Netherlands ang nagwagi bilang Manhunt International 2020 sa idinaos na kompetisyon sa New Frontier Theater sa Cubao, Quezon City nitong Sabado ng gabi.

Tinalo ng crowd favorite na si Paul Luzineau, ang 35 iba pang kandidato para sa titulo. Isang student si Paul na mahilig sa gym, running, at soccer.

Proud umano 23-anyos na model sa pinagmulan niyang bansa, ang The Netherlands, dahil nagagawang mamuhay doon ng payapa ng iba’t ibang mga kultura.

“The Netherlands is a really small country with more than 17 million people. The most thing I am proud of is that here in The Netherlands we all have different cultures and religions and still can live together with peace,”anito sa isang panayam bago ang kompetisyon.

Ibinahagi rin ni Paul ang unti-unting pagsikat ng male pageants sa kanilang bansa dahil sa social media.

“Our organization is keeping our pageant really up-to-date and tries to give it more attention in the Dutch media. So new young men can see it for themselves, instead of believing stories about male pageantry,”anito.

Aminado naman si Paul na excited siyang mabisita ang Pilipinas. “I can’t wait to try the Filipino food, I have heard really good stories about it.”

Nang matanong kung paano niyang gagamitin ang titulo: “I want the youth, to stand up more for themselves. Listening to the advice of others but still have the courage to make their own choices. Nobody is perfect, and it’s not wrong to make mistakes. Get out of your comfort zone and try something new.” Bukod naman kay Paul, wagi rin sina:

Greece, 1st runner-up; Brazil, 2nd runner-up; Yeray

Spain, 3rd runner-up; at India, 4th runner-up. Pasok din sa top 16 ang mga pambato ng: Paraguay, Vietnam, Sweden, Australia, Thailand, United Kingdom, Turkey, Poland, Sri Lanka, UAE, at Philippines.

Winners naman ng special awards ang mga kandidato ng: Philippines, best in national costume; Paraguay, Internet Popularity; The Netherlands, face of the year; United Kingdom, best fashion model; Sweden, best commercial model; Vietnam, best runway model; Thailand, Mr. Photogenic; Nepal, Mr. Personality; Peru, Mr. Physique; at Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Friendship.

Hinusgahan ang 36 contestants base sa kanilang catwalk at runway skills, photogenic ability, personality, at physical attributes.

“Manhunt International is organized to promote new faces for the male modelling and fashion industry. The men that enter Manhunt International are also encouraged to become role models and good corporate citizens for younger people to look up to,” pagbabahagi ni Rosko Dickinson, Manhunt International president.

Ito na ang ikalawang beses na ginanap sa bansa ang prestihiyosong male contest, na unang idinaos noong 1999.

Noong 2012, nakuha ni June Macasaet ang unang titulo para sa Pilipinas sa Manhunt International contest.
