Batang Pinoy swimmers, tampok sa PSL

BUKAS pa ang pagpapatal­a para sa gaganaping Philippine Swimming League (PSL) Short Course Swim Series NCR Leg 2 na sasambulat sa Marso 1 sa Diliman Preparator­y School swimming pool sa Quezon City.

Nakataya sa torneo ang mga event na 6-under, 7-year, 8-year, 9-year, 10year, 11-year, 12-year, 13-year, 14-year at 15-over.

“We want to discover more young swimmers. It is our goal to open the doors to these young tankers, give them proper exposure and mold them for future big internatio­nal competitio­ns,” pahayag ni PSL President Alexandre Papa.

Ang torneo ay magsisilbi­ng seleksiyon upang makapili ng mga swimmers na isasabak sa mga internatio­nal tournament­s sa susunod na taon sa Australia, Amerika, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, United Arab Emirates at

Qatar.

“This is really a grassroots developmen­t prog-ram. They are starting as novice and if they stay in the program, you can see what they will become a year after. We are starting this novice program to continue our search for new talents and potential swimmers. We monitor them, from novice to become regular competitiv­e swimmers,” aniya.

Ilan sa mga produkto ng PSL sina Marc Bryan Dula, Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, Trump Christian Luistro, Rio Lorenzo Malapitan at Lee Grant Cabral na humahakot na ng gintong medalya sa mga internatio­nal tournament­s.

“We inspire our new swimmers, recruit and train them. Again use swimming for healthy citizenry, discipline this young kids and perhaps become champions, you will never know. The least and help themselves become varsity swimmers and finish their studies,” ani Papa.
