Poligrates, lalaro sa MPBL

TARGET ng RizalXentro Mall na makabawi sa nakadidismayang kampanya sa nakalipas na 2019-20 Chooks-to-Go MPBL Lakan Season.

Bilang paghahanda, kinuha ng Golden Coolers, tumapos sa season na may 7-22 karta, si Cebuano scorer Eloy Poligrates para sa darating na season.

“No one wants to end last on the rank of course, so after meeting with the owners, we all agreed that we have to build a more competitive squad,” sambit ni Rizal-Xentro Mall team manager Anj Anzores.

“So signing Eloy, is really a big step especially all teams are rebuilding. Getting him early is an advantage, at least we already secured a guy that we know will be of great help.”

Sa Aspirants’ Cup, naitala ni Poligrates ang average 21.0 puntos, 3.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.6 steals kada laro. Tumapos ang Skippers sa runner-up.

Bukod kay Poligrates, kinuha rin ng Rizal si 2019 NAASCU Rookie of the Year Nikko Panganiban.

Sa edad na 20, ang matikas na si Panganiban, mula sa Our Lady of Fatima University, ay may averaged 18.1 points at 9.1 rebounds per sa 2019 season ng NAASCU.

Lumagda rin ng dalawangtaong extension sa Golden Coolers si big man Mark Benitez.

“We are talking to several collegiate and NBL players as well that we can’t name pa because they are still awaiting approval from their mother teams,” pahayag ni Anzores.
