Seaman nabbed for rape, shabu
AUTHORITIES arrested a seaman in Tubay, Agusan del Norte, on Wednesday afternoon, for allegedly raping his niece and carrying a stash of shabu.

Members of the Cabadbaran City Police carried out the arrest past 5 p.m., after learning the rape incident, he said.
Investigation indicated that Zapico forced his 18year-old niece to drink, near the plaza of Cabadbaranon Tuesday evening.
The drunk teen was eventually brought by her uncle to an inn in Brgy. Mabini.
"We received the complaint on Wednesday through her teachers, who came and reported the incident. According to them, the victim was crying in the classroom and later on confessed that she was raped by her uncle," Serrano said.
A pursuit operation was launched, and it led to the arrest of the suspect.
As operatives frisked Zapico, they found a sachet with 1 gram or P11,800 worth of shabu in his pocket, Serrano said.
Zapico now detained at the Cabadbaran City Police Station and will be charged with rape and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law, he said. — John Roson
