VP Robredo mireak sa federal draft

GIKUWESTIYON sa kampo ni Vice Pres. Leni Robredo ang draft federal charter nga magbalewala sa katungod sa bise presidente nga maoy mopuli o mobanos sa presidente kon mahawa kini sa puwesto.

Sa draft charter nga gipanday ni House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ug lain pang 21 ka magbabalaod, dayag nga kini nagtinguha nga si Senate President Tito Sotto maoy ipuli pagka presidente kon mopahawa o mapalagpot man sa puwesto si Presidente Rodrigo Duterte.

Nahilatid sa Section 4, Article XVII sa House draft federal constitution nga: “In case a vacancy by reason of removal, resignation, permanent incapacity or death of the incumbent President, the incumbent Senate President shall act as President until a President shall have been chosen and qualified.”

Sumala ni Romulo Macalintal, legal counsel ni Robredo, ang maong plano o balaoron usa ka “political calisthenics” base sa katarongan ni Rep. Vicente Veloso sa Leyte.

Si Veloso nga maoy chair sa House Committee on Constitutional Amendments, mipanday usab sa naasoyng balaoron aron malikayan ang “instability” nga may kalabotan sa election protest batok kang Robredo.

“The election protest filed by former Senator Bongbong Marcos as [a] ground for ousting VP Leni is clearly frivolous if not outright ridiculous,” nagkanayon si Macalintal.
