AIM announces 26 scholarships for prospective MBA students
THE ASIAN Institute of Management (AIM) continues to strengthen its efforts to attract Asia’s future leaders and managers, as it offers 26 full and partial scholarships available for the September 2015 intake of MBA students.
AIM is looking for exceptional young men and women from Asia and beyond, who can enrich class discussions, encourage wider worldviews, and ultimately contribute to their own business communities and societies.
All applicants who possess excellent academic records, demonstrate professional achievements, exhibit a clear career trajectory, and receive a formal offer of admission into AIM’s full-time MBA program will be considered for the scholarships.
“As a global source of ASEAN talent, insights, and wisdom, we need our students to demonstrate analytical and strategic thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to be adaptive, open-minded, and progressive,” notes AIM President Dr. Steven J. DeKrey.
Among the full scholarships are the AIM Excellence Scholarships, which are awarded to the most outstanding applicants based on excellent academic, professional, and personal achievements, strong leadership qualifications, and potential to contribute to society and give back to AIM. Candidates also need a minimum GMAT score of 600. Excellence scholarships will also help with the student’s room and board expenses.
Similarly, the Asian Development Bank (ADB)Japan Scholarship Program offers full scholarships and covers room and board expenses. It is open to all nationals of ADB borrowing countries who have no prior master’s or doctoral degree/s. After completion of the AIM MBA, a successful candidate is required to return to his/her home country.
Open to Chinese and Taiwanese applicants, the AIMGT Metro Foundation Scholarships require a minimum GMAT of 600. This full scholarship also covers room and board, as well as round-trip airfare and stipend.
Partial scholarships are equally competitive opportunities valued between $5,000 to $30,000.
Of interest to applicants from ASEAN countries are the AIM ASEAN Leadership Scholarships that range between $10,000 to $30,000. Applicants must have a GMAT score of 600.
Meanwhile, the AIM President’s International Scholarships are available to qualified applicants from all over the world. These scholarships are also valued between $10,000 to $30,000, with GMAT scores considered during evaluation.
The Sung Joo Kim Foundation Women Scholarships are available to women applicants with a minimum GMAT of 600. Financial assistance may amount from $5,000 to $10,000.
Finally, the AIM Dean’s Scholarships welcome applications with a minimum GMAT of 600. These scholarships range from US$5,000 to US$20,000.
AIM Dean Jikyeong Kang shares, “The AIM MBA scholarships serve as springboards for Asia’s future leaders. AIM graduates will be able to bring their expertise and strategic thinking into business and organizations around the world, and we are confident that they can do so, because they have exhibited their leadership potential as early as the application stage.”
Deadline for applications for all scholarships is May 15.
