NBS collaborates withblogger
FROM COLLABORATING WITH National Artist BenCab, to personalities like Rajo Laurel and Daphne OseñaPaez, National Bookstore has come up with another collectibles collection including pouches, note cards, tote bags, and a lot more. This time, the store is partnering with Cecile Zamora van Straten, the blogger behind Chuvaness.
Ms. Straten told BusinessWorld that the bookstore is a major sponsor of her blog and she has a good relationship with National Bookstore. She was the one who approached them and said she wanted to come up with a line of her own, she said.
“Cecile is one of the most credible taste- makers and sought- after lifestyle bloggers who associate with brands that she believes in,” said Xandra Ramos- Padilla, National Book Store’s managing director, in a press release.
The limited edition “Chuvaness Collection” is composed of more than 15 items for traveling and organizing like a shoe bag, a coin purse, a multipouch, a baby bag, and a utility kit.
Ms. Straten tapped social media to look for her designer and found illustrator Keeshia Felipe (@ keeshuuu) online. Together with graphic designer Yodel Pe, they brought to life the blogger’s penchant for Tokyo and its kawaii (cute) aesthetics.
Items in the collection range in price from P49 (stickers) to P699 (a carry-all bag). —
