FWD Life Philippines unveils ‘Orange World’ mobile app
Tech- savvy Filipinos can now take advantage of the newest mobile application that encourages them to pursue their interests and passions in life.
Launched by the country’s fastestgrowing insurance firm FWD Life Philippines, Orange World is an innovative lifestyle rewards app whose goal is to be the go- to source of trending and exciting news on travel, food, fitness, and the arts. It allows users to earn “passion points” through simply downloading the app, logging in, completing the profile, and reading, liking, and sharing FWD articles and its other contents. Points can also be redeemed by recommending the app and its passion partners or their products.
“We are a new type of insurance company that tries to do different things. And I think one of the most important things that should be done by brands today is to engage with their customers in a very different type of way and to provide customer value and rewards in a different and innovative type of way and, most importantly, in things that are relevant to customers as individuals,” FWD Life Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Grimes said during the launch, which was attended by “Orange Citizens” who partook in fun-filled interactions with Orange World’s partner merchants represented as stopovers in a city- like setup.
FWD Life Philippines Head of Marketing Rochelle R. Vandenberghe said that the unveiling of the app was totally different from what were already done in the Philippines to signify FWD’s commitment to promote its vision of “Get Ready To Live” among Filipino millennials.
“At FWD Life Philippines, it is all about encouraging you to live your life to the fullest now. That is the keyword, it is now. We don’t tell you to enjoy your life next time, but enjoy your life now,” she said.
Orange World can be downloaded on Google Play and Apple’s App Store free of charge. The points gleaned by users can be used to get freebies and perks from the app’s up- and- coming partner merchants that fall under the four “interest points” identified.
These enterprises include BamBike, Makati Junction, e-Philippines, Frank & Dean, Honey Creme, Velvet Friends Cat Café, Bengal Brew, Bikers’ Café, FitBurger, Ball Pit Manila, Snacks and Ladders, Ganso Shabuway, Ikigai Kakigori Café, Wabi Sabi, Café Aquatica, Primal Ape, Flying Trapeze, Power Up, Trampoline Park, Beyond Yoga, Mystery Manila, Uke Box Café, and Miracle Art. There is no purchase or membership required to avail of the perks.
“Orange World is just another thing that we are doing along our journey of fulfilling the vision when we came to the Philippines, which is to change the way that people feel about insurance. And we think Orange World is an ideal app to further that vision,” Mr. Grimes added.
FWD Life Philippines launched its commercial operations in September 2014 and was the first life insurance company licensed by the Insurance Commission (IC) under the new Insurance Code. In 2015, as per IC’s report, FWD was ranked no. 13 in terms of total premium income.
