Green developer ArthaLand makes a difference with WWF-Philippines
Think of a real estate company that builds its projects with people and the planet in mind and you’ll find ArthaLand at the top of the list. This boutique green developer puts sustainability at the core of its business — from planning, construction, property management, daily operations, and corporate culture.
For ArthaLand, giving back to the planet and to the communities it serves is beyond CSR. It is the main reason for its business and this practice has given them rewards. The company has become one of the most respected developers in the country and has been recognized by various national and international organizations for quality and sustainability.
For more than six years now, ArthaLand has been very active in promoting green living to its employees, partners, and to underprivileged communities. The company believes that by living well and living right, our children and our children’s children will be able to enjoy more the blessings of our planet.
Last year, ArthaLand together with WWFPhilippines conducted an environmental education program called Kabataang Kaibigan
ng Kalikasan. More than half of the property company’s employees volunteered to teach over 500 elementary school pupils from three public schools in Taguig City. The program focused on caring for the environment through intelligent use of fresh water.
Kabataang Kaibigan ng Kalikasan is estimated to have touched more than 2,500 lives as these school children were expected to share what they learned in their own homes and communities. As part of the effort, ArthaLand volunteers also visited the community where these grade six pupils live and conducted another eco-briefing as well as clean-up and repainting of their village fence.
This year, the company’s partnership with WWF-Philippines benefited more than 300 schoolchildren in Taguig on the first phase and is set to change the lives of over 60 families or about 300 individuals in a village in Bantayan, Cebu.
ArthaLand is a boutique developer of sustainable, world- class projects. It rests on a solid backing by CPG Holdings, Inc. ( CPGHI), its biggest shareholder. CPHGI is led by the Po family of the Century Pacific Food Inc., the country’s largest canned food company. ArthaLand’s other major shareholder is international investment firm, AO Capital Group.
ArthaLand’s projects include top-end LEED Gold certified residential condominium, Arya Residences, as well as LEED Gold pre-certified premium office building, ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower. These projects are both located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. It has recently launched Cebu Exchange, the first and only grade-A office building that is on target to achieve dual green building certification.
