Taal Vista Hotel unveils its new Veranda restaurant

TAAL VISTA Hotel’s new Veranda restaurant recently opened its doors for lunch and dinner.

This iconic Tagaytay restaurant set in the manicured gardens of Taal Vista Hotel with unrivalled views of Lake Taal has been completely renovated, and redesigned by Aranda and Dalid Associates, Inc. The interiors are light and airy giving a warm modern feel. Handmade Machuca tiles were used for the flooring to complement the rustic feel and to showcase the restaurant’s rich history.

The restaurant now includes a purpose built showcase kitchen supported by a state of the art main kitchen. Special features include a new outdoor terrace with fireplace, an ice cream parlor window and kids buffet, an entertainm­ent area for our well-loved Bughaw Folkloric dance group, a modern new bar servicing the restaurant, lounge and terrace, and a feature wall with streaming food videos to whet your appetite.

Italian executive chef Alessio Loddo and sous chef Jason Cabauatan have revived comfort food, both Filipino and continenta­l, that will be familiar to a wide range of guests. The menu, both buffet and a la carte, will include modern takes on everyone’s favorite dishes from the ’70s to the present.

Heirloom cuisine will be highlighte­d as the hotel’s chefs focus on the authentici­ty and origin of the dishes, a welcome change from commercial Filipino food. The service will imbibe Filipino hospitalit­y as friends and family are welcomed with open arms.
