Red Bull Reign due for first-ever Philippine stop next month
PREMIUM energy drink Red Bull’s signature streetball tournament makes its way to the Philippines for the first time next month, promising participants an exciting and competitive 3x3 action.
Red Bull Reign, happening in the country from May 13 to 27, is part of several contests happening in different parts of the world and will pit hopefuls against one another in a high-endurance and offensive-driven battles.
Winners from the various contests held get to compete at the World Finals in Washington DC later this year.
Tournament rules are simple: teams that score the most overall points in each round will advance until one team remains. Also, players 16 years old and above are open to submit their teams of three (with one reserve) to compete and must have their passports ready.
For the Philippine leg, four qualifiers are set with the Cebu qualifier happening on May 13 at the Sacred Heart Ateneo, Manila Qualifier A on May 20 at the Buendia Food by the Court, Manila Qualifier B on May 26 also at the Buendia Food by the Court, and the Last Chance Qualifier and Finals on May 27 at the Nagtahan Bridge Court.
Each qualifier will host 16 teams with the top two teams from each day advancing to the Finals. Qualifying tournaments and Finals are open to the public.
Each team will be required to pay a registration fee of P500. Registration is based on the first- come- firstserved policy. Once the quota of 16 teams has been reached, teams registering will be placed on a wait list.
