Featherweight clash headlines UFC event in Nashville, Tennessee

TOP ULTIMATE Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight fighters collide at “UFC Fight Night 108” this weekend with number four contender Cub Swanson taking on Artem “The Russian Hammer” Lobov.

Set at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, Manila time, Messrs. Swanson and Lobov put their respective win streaks on the line as they clash while also trying to raise their stock in the division that has Max Holloway as the interim champion.

American Swanson (24-7) has won his last three fights, the latest one coming at the expense of Doo Ho Choi by unanimous decision last December.

Russian Lobov ( 14- 12- 1), meanwhile, has won back- toback fights, the last over Teruto Ishihara last November by unanimous decision.

Serving as co-main event for UFC Fight Night 108 is the lightweight battle of Al Iaquinta (#14) and Diego Sanchez.

Others in the card are light heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux (#8) against Marcos Rogerio de Lima, bantamweight John Dodson (#7) versus Eddie Wineland (# 10), lightweight Joe Lauzon against Stevie Ray, and welterweight Jake Ellenberger (# 13) versus Mike Perry.

UFC Fight Night 108 will be shown live on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. over Hyper Ch. 91 in SD or 261 in HD on Cignal TV. Replay is at 6 p.m. on the same day.
