RLC to develop mixed-use project in Naga

ROBINSONS Land Corp. (RLC) is set to launch a mixed-use complex in one of the major cities in the Bicol region this year as part of its nationwide expansion.

In a statement, the Gokongwei-led developer said the project in Naga will have a shopping mall, an office building and two hotel chains: Go Hotels and Summit Hotel.

The mall will be unveiled on Aug. 15, while the office building is expected to be completed in the second semester of 2017.

RLC considers Naga an ideal location for BPO locators on the back of strong government and private sector support, backed by a highly proficient labor pool given the presence of several major universities such as Ateneo de Naga and University of Nueva Caceres.

“The building is registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) as an IT Center. Qualified locators at Robinsons Cybergate Naga may apply for various incentives from PEZA,” RLC Office Buildings General Manager Faraday D. Go was quoted in the statement as saying.

Located at the corner of Naga Diversion Road and Almeda Highway, Robinsons Cybergate Naga will consist of two office levels plus a recruitment space on the third floor, which will be connected to a mall. It will have a gross leasable area of 5,900 square meters (sq.m.).

The office building will have its own lobby on the ground floor and elevator dedicated to its tenants. It is also designed with large and efficient office floor plates and will be in warmshell hand-over condition.

RLC said the facilities will have sufficient parking space for tenants and employees. It is accessible to major thoroughfares Roxas Avenue and Almeda Highway with 24/7 access to major transportation.

“Within the Robinsons Naga Complex, we have options for expansion should clients need additional space in the future,” Mr. Go said.

For the first quarter of 2017, RLC reported its net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company fell 11% to P1.38 billion. Total real estate revenues dropped 2% to P4.98 billion for the January to March period, while hotel revenues went up 6% to P456 million. —
