15th M.A.P. International CEO Conference today tackles ‘ASEAN in Business’

-

THIS YEAR, all eyes are on the Philippines as we host the ASEAN summits and related meetings on the same year that the ASEAN celebrates its 50 years of regional cooperation. While the Philippine government works toward the thematic priorities it set for its chairmanship, the local business community should likewise do its part in pushing discussions on collaboration and cooperation — not only between the government and the business sector, but also among the different business communities spread throughout the ASEAN region. The Philippine business community needs to communicate the multitude of opportunities that come with the integration, as well as the responsibilities that must be fulfilled to ensure that progress is inclusive and sustainable.

As the leading business organization in the country, the M. A. P. fully intends to take advantage of this rare opportunity to drive important discussions not only in the country, but in the entire region. This is why for its 15th International CEO Conference 2017, scheduled today in Makati Shangri- La, the M. A. P. has chosen the theme “ASEAN in Business: Building Partnerships in a Growth Network.”

The M. A. P. has invited global and regional business leaders and all-around inspiring personalities to share their insights and lessons on the focal points of this year’s Conference, which are hinged on the Philippine government’s own thematic priorities. In particular, the conference will zero in on pertinent issues that the business sector could tackle and contribute to: driving inclusive and innovation- led growth; building a peopleoriented and people- centered ASEAN; and positioning ASEAN as a model of regionalism and a global player.

With this year’s International CEO Conference, the M. A. P. will be the venue for speakers and delegates from all over the globe to come together, share ideas and discuss the things that matter to build and enable partnerships and networks of their own. Through the insightful sessions and robust discussions among people of diverse backgrounds, the M. A. P. aims to encourage innovative thinking with a global perspective and to promote the kind of collaboration and cooperation that will pave the way toward shared growth and prosperity for all.
