Voyager headlines Philippines’ biggest digital conference

VOYAGER Innovations, the digital innovations arm of PLDT and Smart, will headline this year’s DigiCon 2017, the country’s largest gathering of movers and shakers in the digital industry organized annually by the Internet and Mobile Marketers Association of the Philippines (IMMAP).

During the three-day conference from Oct. 11 to 13, delegates will get to experience Voyager’s transformative digital platforms, and glean relevant insights from various speakers representing Voyager’s various business units.

“Digital Transformation or DX is here, DX is now. Voyager is charging full steam ahead to help Philippine businesses and consumers with their respective digital transformation journeys, and we are glad to be making a big splash once more at this year’s DigiCon summit,” said Orlando B. Vea, president and CEO at Voyager, who was also the keynote speaker during last year’s DigiCon.

Today (Oct. 11), Voyager Managing Director for hatch Dindo Marzan will lead a breakout session on DX on the topic of how to effectively engage with customers online, and the need to develop the “Internet of Humanity” alongside the rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT).

On the same day, FINTQ Managing Director Lito Villanueva will lead a panel on financial services, on how the traditional banking industry and the rise of FinTech (financial technology) firms can promote collaboration in the face of mounting competition.

On the conference’s second day, PayMaya Chief Operating Officer Paolo Azzola will steer a panel on how financial innovations such as PayMaya and Smart Padala are helping those at the bottom of the pyramid, while Voyager Managing Director for Digital Commerce Marco Concio will help attendees explore the psychology behind how people buy online in another breakout session.

Lastly, to complete the DX story, Voyager People Group Head Charee Lanza will share how culture has shaped the growth and evolution of Voyager as a company, and how culture is at the heart of every DX effort. This is in keeping with the conference theme this year, which will revolve around “The Culture of Digital Transformation.”

Aside from keynote talks and breakout sessions, Digicon 2017 delegates will also get a taste of various Voyager platforms during the conference. To help them make their way around the conference agenda, attendees can interact with the official chatbot powered by hatch over at the DigiCon Facebook page.

Throughout the conference, they can also interact with the organizing committee through online surveys that get the pulse of the attendees at various times of day.
