Johnson and Johnson boosts tie up with Operation Smile
AS AN integral part of its ongoing local community initiatives in health care and advocacy, Johnson and Johnson (J&J) this year strengthened and reaffirmed its partnership with Operation Smile, a nonstock, nonprofit organization that provides reconstructive surgeries to children and young adults with the cleft disabilities. The company currently has 200 active volunteers who regularly contribute to the cause through their deep areas of expertise, such as plastic surgery, anesthesiology, dentistry, pediatrics, nursing, speech pathology, and patient imaging among others, and are looking to expand this number further. These special missions held by J&J and Operation Smile are held at least once a month, with each mission addressing the needs of up to 150 cleft patients.
