Tripartite agreement for women empowerment signed
THE LADY Local Legislators League (4L) of the Philippines, the Department of the Interior and Local Government ( DILG), and the National Council of Women in the Philippines recently signed a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement ( MoA) on the nationwide advocacy for women.
Under the MoA, the DILG will encourage participation of women legislators across the country to take part in the ASEAN + 2 Conference for Women Leaders to be held in Manila, March 21 to 23.
The three-day confab will gather all women groups and affiliates in the ASEAN member countries in government service, private sector and nongovernment organizations. The confab will also launch awards for women all over the country.

According to Ms. Revil, one of the prime movers of the event, the conference will be participated in by lady lawmakers from vice-governors to barangay council members to craft bills for submission to Congress for the advancement of women’s rights.
