Rev­o­lu­tion Pre­crafted plans to build 6 fac­to­ries

REV­O­LU­TION Pre­crafted Prop­er­ties Philip­pines, Inc. tar­gets to build six fac­to­ries in every re­gion where it is present in or­der to sup­port its ag­gres­sive overseas ex­pan­sion plan.

In a re­cent interview on CNBC’s Man­ag­ing Asia, Rev­o­lu­tion Pre­crafted founder and Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Jose Roberto A. An­to­nio said the com­pany plans to set up its own fac­tory to gain bet­ter con­trol of the ma­te­ri­als used for its pre­fab­ri­cated units.

“Ideally I’d like to have one per re­gion, so ul­ti­mately that will be six. I’ll start with Asia be­cause that’s where most of the orders are com­ing from,” Mr. An­to­nio said.

The first fac­tory will be built within the year.

“I’m al­ready hav­ing con­ver­sa­tions with amaz­ing tech­nol­ogy providers and we’re just go­ing to go make the in­vest­ment,” he added.

Cur­rently, Rev­o­lu­tion Pre­crafted taps a net­work of fab­ri­ca­tors in dif­fer­ent re­gions to pro­duce its projects. Each fab­ri­ca­tor is en­gaged, de­pend­ing on the lo­ca­tion of the or­der.

“So it’s a re­ally B2B2C ( busi­ness-to-busi­ness-to-con­sumer) model where we part­ner and form a joint ven­ture or we sup­ply to a de­vel­oper and they turn it out to the end user. And so far the sales have been ro­bust,” Mr. An­to­nio said.

The com­pany has been strik­ing a string of in­ter­na­tional deals over the past six months. Its most re­cent project is in Puerto Rico, where it will sup­ply over 2,000 res­i­den­tial vil­las for Grupo Ca­cho, Inc.

Rev­o­lu­tion Pre­crafted has also man­aged to gain a foot­print in Dubai, Myan­mar, Ja­pan, and parts of the Caribbean.

Lo­cally, the com­pany is sup­ply­ing pre­fab­ri­cated struc­tures for Bat­u­lao Artscapes in Na­sugbu, Batan­gas, and Revoution Fla­vorscapes in Mex­ico, Pam­panga.

The to­tal deals are val­ued at $7.2 bil­lion, with around third of that ac­count­ing for Rev­o­lu­tion Pre­crafted’s pro­jected rev­enue. The com­pany is fur­ther tar­get­ing a 30-35% profit mar­gin.

Mr. An­to­nio re­mains on the look­out for po­ten­tial part­ner­ships overseas, in or­der to hit his goal of reach­ing 25 coun­tries by the end of 2018.

By 2020, the ex­ec­u­tive looks to be present in 85 coun­tries with rev­enues “north of sev­eral bil­lion dol­lars” every year. At this point, Mr. An­to­nio said he may take the com­pany pub­lic in the United States, the United King­dom, or Sin­ga­pore.

Asked whether he thinks the com­pany is ex­pand­ing too fast, Mr. An­to­nio replied: “I’m ex­pand­ing fast enough, in fact.”

“Ex­pe­di­ency is in­te­gral and I al­ways say my big­gest weak­ness which is ac­tu­ally my big­gest strength as well, is my im­pa­tience. I like to see things in a jiffy,” the young ex­ec­u­tive said.

Founded in 2015, Rev­o­lu­tion Pre­crafted is a prop­erty-tech­nol­ogy start-up that has since achieved uni­corn sta­tus. A uni­corn is a pri­vately held start-up that has reached a val­u­a­tion of more than $1 bil­lion. —
