TransCo, DICT and NGCP sign MoA on broadband project

THE NATIONAL Transmissi­on Corporatio­n (TransCo) said that fast and free internet is in sight following the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between it, the Department of Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology (DICT), and the National Grid Corporatio­n of the Philippine­s (NGCP) on the National Broadband Project. TransCo President Atty. Melvin Matibag said the country is well on the road to accomplish­ing the promise of President Rodrigo R. Duterte made in first State of the Nation Address to give fast internet speed at no charge in selected public places including parks, public libraries, schools, government offices, hospitals and train stations.
