8th Philippine Harvest celebrates local food destinations
FOR ITS 8th edition, Philippine Harvest at Central Square continues to promote the richness of Philippine agriculture, from celebrating good food to paying homage to the people that produce it.
Dubbed “Philippine Harvest: Celebration of Philippine Food Destinations,” a recent four-day food fair organized by the Department of Tourism (DoT), in partnership with SSI (Stores Specialists, Inc.) Group and Central Square, highlighted culinary destinations like Bicol, Negros Occidental, Cebu, Davao, Zamboanga, La Union and Isabela, among others.
Organic, artisanal, natural and indigenous products showcased by the exhibitors included sauces, chocolates, honey and jams, fish and crabs, salads, coffee, cheese, as well as delectable options of ice cream flavors.
“A true testament to the SSI Group’s thrust to continuously enrich the lives of our customers, the cel- ebration of PH Harvest rewards them with the opportunity to experience and appreciate the different varieties of Philippine products, as well as meet the men and women behind them,” said SSI Group President Anton Huang. “As we celebrate the SSI Group’s 30th year anniversary this 2018, we look forward to more collaborations with the DoT as we unite in our goal to promote local tourism through curated lifestyle experiences.”
