Regus opens its 25th center in a Makati tower

-

REGUS, the world’s leading global workplace provider, answers the increasing need for co-working spaces by launching its 25th business center on the 41st floor of GT International Tower in Makati City.

Standing at 217 meters, GT International Tower is one the most recognizable landmarks in the country’s financial hub. It currently ranks as the 9th tallest building in Metro Manila, and a soughtafter office location.

Marking another milestone since Regus’ entry to the country in the ‘90s, the new center occupies a massive space in the skyscraper that spans 1,300 square meters in floor area. The new business center can accommodate a total of 226 users.

Country Manager of Regus, Lars Wittig, said, “Our continuous effort in expanding in the Philippines, particularly in Makati, is in response to the increasing demand for coworking spaces as well as affordable office spaces.”

He added, “The number of patrons of co-working space in the country remains healthy and continues to climb. Companies are recognizing the value of co-working hence we expect further growth.”

The popularity of co-working is due to several high-growth sectors looking for premier commercial spaces, especially in outsourcing, tech and gaming. Another factor is the robust start-up scene in the country, with its massive millennial workforce who mostly favor co-working environments.

International Workspace Group said in a recent study that the move to flexible workspaces reflects the changing demands and expectations of the workforce. “In the Philippines, in particular, 80% of those surveyed said that providing access to a huge network of flexible workspace helps them attract more talent,” the study said, adding that 82% agreed that remote working locations help employees achieve a better work-life balance.

“Co-working, together with technology, has changed the way we collaborate with our colleagues and how we service our clients. If you want your business to be truly agile, then you should give co-working a try. Our clients know that they can conduct business anywhere in the Philippines, or anywhere in the world, because there’s a Regus center in most major cities,” Mr. Wittig said.
