THE Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) is inviting private companies, government agencies, nongovernment organizations, educational institutions, public relations agencies and other organizations to submit their outstanding PR programs and tools as entries to the 54th Anvil Awards.

PRSP Vice-President-Internal and Chair of the 54th Anvil Awards Andy B. Saracho, APR, announced that, for the first time in the history of PRSP and the Anvil Awards, a digital Anvil Awards has been launched and that entries can be submitted online through the official website

“This is a breakthrough for PRSP as we use a digital system for registration, nomination and submission of entries, payment, screening and judging. At last, we are able to catch up with advances in technology in our global environment to recognize outstanding PR campaigns and promote excellence in the PR practice,” Mr. Saracho said.

“The digital system will also reduce manhours and cost of reproducing six copies of the entries as everything, except for Publications, will be submitted online. It also means that the 54 Anvil Awards is more environment-friendly as less paper will be used in the process.”

The Anvil Awards is presented annually by PRSP, the premier organization of PR professionals in the country. Over the past 53 years, the Anvil has become a symbol of excellence, the “Oscar” in the Philippine PR industry.

PR campaigns undertaken from Oct.1, 2017 to Sept. 30, 2018 are eligible to be submitted as entries to the Awards. Entry fee is P12,600 for PRSP members and P15,750 for non-PRSP members. Early bird fees for entries submitted from Oct. 1 to Oct. 15, 2018 are P12,000 and P15,000, respectively. Deadline for submission of entries is Nov. 9, 2018.

The Anvil Awards has two main categories: PR Programs and PR Tools. Entries can be categorized as PR Programs on a Sustained Basis, PR Programs Directed at Specific Stakeholders, or Specialized PR Programs. Under PR Tools, the subcategories are Publications, Multi-Media/Digital, and Events and Exhibits.

The Awards at stake are: Grand Anvil Award for the most outstanding PR Program, Platinum Anvil Award for the most outstanding PR Tool, Gold and Silver Awards, and special awards Company of the Year and PR Agency of the Year.

Winners will be officially announced and presented the Anvil trophies at the Gabi ng Parangal on Jan. 30, 2019.
