lights up its grand Christmas Tree. Christmas at ShangriLa Plaza officially began on December 1 with the anticipated yearly Christmas Tree Lighting. ShangriLa Plaza EVP and General Manager Lala Fojas, former Mandaluyong City mayor Benhur Abalos, and Mandaluyong City Councilor Charisse Marie Abalos-Vargas performed the ceremonial lighting of the mall’s 50foot Christmas tree, considered as one of the tallest in the city. The festivities then moved to the Shang’s Grand Atrium with performances from Mark Bautista, Jona, Esang de Torres, Ody Sto. Domingo, the Halili-Cruz School of Ballet and the Mandaluyong Children’s Choir conducted by Sebastian Trinidad. The Shang’s grand Christmas tree is one of the centerpieces of the mall’s stunning holiday décor inspired by the greatest show on earth – the Circus. Exciting activities and musical performances have also been lined-up for mall guests throughout the month of December.
