A Fes­ti­val of Arts and Ideas

THE Ju­lia Buen­camino Pro­ject pre­sents WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME? A Fes­ti­val of Arts & Ideas at the Cul­tural Cen­ter of the Philip­pines on Dec. 8 and 9, with the in­ten­tion of to spread­ing aware­ness on sui­cide pre­ven­tion by en­gag­ing par­tic­i­pants in mind­ful­ness art ac­tiv­i­ties that will deepen their un­der­stand­ing and ap­pre­ci­a­tion of the many men­tal and emo­tional health is­sues plagu­ing society to­day. Po­etry sem­i­nar

THE Cul­tural Cen­ter of the Philip­pines part­ners with Unyon ng mga Ma­nunulat sa Pilip­inas, Li­nan­gan sa Ima­hen, Re­torika, at Anyo, and Merck Inc. for a na­tional po­etry sem­i­nar on Dec. 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Si­lan­gan Hall, CCP, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. The lec­tur­ers are UMPIL Chair­per­son Dr. Michael M. Coroza on the art of Filipino rhyme and me­ter, and Ate­neo de Manila Univer­sity pro­fes­sor Dr. Louie Jon A. Ac­tive Vista Hu­man Rights Fes­ti­val

CALL HER GANDA, an award-win­ning doc­u­men­tary about Jen­nifer Laude, a Filip­ina transwoman who was mur­dered by a US marine, is among the films in the on­go­ing Ac­tive Vista Hu­man Rights Fes­ti­val which runs un­til Dec. 9. The doc­u­men­tary will be screened on Dec. 8, 5 p.m., at Cinema 76 San Juan and Cinema 76 Anonas; Dec. 9, 1 p.m. at the FDCP Cine­math­eque in Davao and at 6 p.m. at the FDCP Cine­math­eque in Iloilo. The two-week Ac­tive Vista Hu­man Rights Fes­ti­val is com­posed of film screen­ings, ex­hibits, fo­rums, work­shops and a con­cert.

Dance at Be­nilde

A THE­SIS pro­duc­tion by dance ma­jors of De La Salle-Col­lege of Saint Be­nilde (DLS-CSB) which jux­ta­poses tech­nol­ogy and cul­ture Kig­gi­nawan: The Hid­den Is­land, will have per­for­mances on Dec. 6 and 7, 1 and 7 p.m., at the SDA Theater at the School of Design and Arts (SDA) Cam­pus. Dis­cov­ery Fes­ti­val at BGC

THE FOOD and life­style fes­ti­val re­turns to Bonifacio High Street on Dec. 8. This year’s fes­ti­val will have an ex­panded port­fo­lio of food, travel, life­style, cul­ture, and ad­ven­ture op­tions. Grand Christ­mas Pa­rade

THE Venice Grand Canal’s Grand Christ­mas Pa­rade will take off on Dec. 8, with giant char­ac­ter bal­loons, floats, march­ing bands, street dancers, mu­si­cal per­for­mances and ap­pear­ances by some of the big­gest stars in Philip­pine en­ter­tain­ment in­clud­ing Jessy Men­di­ola and Jeri­cho Ros­ales.
