Migratory bird watchers

Migratory birds from countries such as Taiwan and Japan pass by southern Mindanao twice a year — between Sept. and Oct., and March-April. One of the identified stopovers is Rio del Pilar in Glan, Sarangani. Last year, the Environmental Conservation and Protection Center of Sarangani province recorded 132,945 birds composed of Chinese Sparrow hawk, Grey-faced Buzzard, Peregrine Falcon, and Western Osprey.
