González, President and CEO of ArthaLand. “We will continue to give justice to this award and to the confidence extended by the CFI.co Awards’ judging panel in ArthaLand’s commitment to put the environment at the heart of its planning and decisionmaking in and out of the office.” The Capital Finance International Awards is a prestigious showcase of individuals and organizations that pursue best practices that push global progress. With 170 years of business journalism and corporate leadership experience, the CFI.co Awards is at the forefront of recognizing the changes in technological and innovative markets that provide solutions and best practices through global views. At the heart of every ArthaLand project is sustainability, which, together with exceptional and innovative design coupled with highquality construction standards, has been the main thrust in all its developments. Arya Residences in Bonifacio Global City is the first and only residential building in the country to receive the dual certification comprising of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the US Green Building Council and the Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) 4-star certification by the Philippine Green Building Council. Another green project under its wing is the ArthaLand Century Pacific Tower (ACPT), a premium grade office development also in Bonifacio Global City which was the recipient of the Best Green Development and Highly Commended in the Best Office Architectural Design categories of the Philippine Property Awards. It has received both LEED Platinum rating and just recently, BERDE 5-star certification, the highest and most prestigious categories in both green building rating standards. ArthaLand’s commitment to the environment is not just limited to its projects. Even in its operations, ArthaLand espouses best practices in construction. The company is currently in the midst of constructing at the gateway of the Cebu IT Park the single largest green office building in the country, the Cebu Exchange. All construction workers at its project site are educated about environmental issues today and are asked to commit to a sustainable or green action in their everyday lives. For example, many workers volunteer to give a pledge to discourage singleuse plastics or to segregate the waste in their homes or offices. This highlights the company’s commitment and initiative towards spreading environmental awareness within its own sphere of influence. These small acts of mindfulness are the seeds that ArthaLand has planted in its employees, to ensure that everyone within the ArthaLand family is a champion for the environment. ArthaLand Corporation is the foremost green developer in the Philippines recognized by both local and global organizations for its superior design, high quality, focus on sustainability, and innovation. It has made its mark in the Philippine real estate industry by pioneering the development and management of exceptional bestin-class properties that adhere to international and local standards for premium green projects.
