Travel Tour Expo set on Feb. 8 to 10 at SMX Convention Center

-

BEST TRAVEL deals and packages will be up for grabs on Feb. 8 to 10 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City as the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) set to bring the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) 2019.

TTE is now considered as the biggest annual travel and tourism event in the country, and has gotten the reputation as the one-stop shop for everyone’s travel needs.

Marlene Dado Jante, TTE 2019 organizing committee chairperson, said that the expo will be the only time during the year that drop down travel services and packages to most destinations in the country and abroad will be available.

“We promise the public that they can actually avail of the drop down prices for the tickets and for the packages, and of course from travel-related entities also,” Ms. Jante said in a press briefing last Jan. 9.

This year’s TTE will house more than 400 exhibitors including the biggest airlines, hotels, resorts, theme parks and cruise lines worldwide. It will also feature the country’s tourism stakeholders, embassies, and national tourism organizations.

The expo will once again cover a 16,320-square-meter floor space, and will be open for a combined 32 hours during its three-day run.

Over the last three years, the TTE has seen at least 10% increased in its foot traffic. This 2019, the PTAA is expecting for more than 135,000 Filipinos to troop to the event.

Aside from pushing all the exhibitors to come out with packages that are only exclusively available at the expo, PTAA will be setting the bar higher at this year’s TTE by embracing new innovations.

For instance, PTAA is now using a YouTube channel to promote the expo, Ms. Jante said, adding that the organization has also become active in its social media accounts.

“Every year, we try to improve our expo, we try to introduce new [offerings],” Ms. Jante said. “This is the first time we’re doing the YouTube channel. We really embrace the changes, we have to stay relevant also.”

TTE will open its doors to the public at 9:30 a.m. on the first day, and 9 a.m. on the second and third day. Admission fee is P100 while senior citizen rate is at P70.
